Riassunto
Le politiche di sviluppo rurale e regionale della Comunità europea, le politiche nazionali e regionali di settore incentivano le attività di formazione e di informazione necessarie alla diffusione di conoscenze normative e tecniche nonché di capacità operative in linea con l’evoluzione e la specializzazione della selvicoltura. Queste attività rappresentano quindi un obiettivo ed un’opportunità sia per il sostegno e lo sviluppo economico ed occupazionale sia per la realizzazione di attività forestali secondo i criteri fissati per la gestione sostenibile. La formazione, l’informazione e l’addestramento costituiscono inoltre attività obbligatorie per legge ai fini della sicurezza sui luoghi di lavoro e nel settore forestale si individuano attività ad alto rischio per gli addetti principalmente nelle operazioni di taglio e di esbosco del legname con mezzi meccanici nonché nella lotta attiva agli incendi boschivi. Si riportano in particolare le esperienze condotte in varie regioni nel settore della formazione degli operatori addetti alla lotta agli incendi boschivi esaminando i metodi formativi adottati, i supporti didattici impiegati, nonché i criteri per la valutazione dei risultati formativi e per la certificazione del risultato in rapporto agli obblighi in tema di sicurezza sui luoghi di lavoro.

Summary

Rural and regional policies implemented by the European Community, national and regional policies carried out in this field promote both training and information activities which are required to spread know-how and knowledge provided for by law; and the skills needed to implement these activities, following evolution and specialisation of forestry. Thus these activities are regarded as a goal and an opportunity to support and develop economy and employment, on the one hand; and on the other, to carry out forest activities on the basis of the criteria established for sustainable forest management.Moreover, training and information are provided for as mandatory by law with regard to safety at work, and in the forest sector a number of activities are considered to be high-risk activities for the workers concerned, especially when cutting and hauling timber by mechanical means, and when fighting forest fires. Particular attention is here paid to experiences carried out in training workers dealing with forest fires, taking into consideration the training methods which were selected, the teaching aids used, as well as the criteria set to certificate these results with regard to obligations provided for in the field of safety at work.
